The Bayside Council provides residents with free bulky household cleanup services each year. The number and dates of the collection are provided to the homeowners by the council on a magnetic strip that can be placed on your refrigerator. If you do not have or did not receive a magnet from the council with the free rubbish collection dates, then it is best that you call 1300 581 299 for one to be sent to you.

The Bayside Council began implementing an eco-friendly system to help reduce the number of waste being sent to the landfill in September 2018. It was a step to divert waste from the landfill and to a facility where the waste can be properly sorted and recycled. This is a crucial step to achieving the council’s goal of 85% landfill avoidance by 2030.

The free kerbside rubbish collection provided by the Bayside Council is designed to help residents in the area to remove and dispose of their large unwanted goods that would not normally fit in your wheelie bins. These rubbish cleanup dates are scheduled by the council and are provided on a magnetic strip that can be placed on a fridge for better visibility.

There are rules that must be followed when using free service is are detailed below.
